Moodboard
The mood board, I feel, encapsulates the themes and main plot of our opening sequence. The mood board is predominately pictures of army combat or soldiers. I chose them because our opening sequence is of a army-style battle. For example, the photo in the centre is of two men dressed in paintball gear, armed with military-esque paintball guns. I chose this image because our thriller follows two characters in particular, which would be dressed in a similar style.
I included the words ‘guerrilla warfare’, because our thriller will be filmed in a paintball course in the forest. Ideally, my group wants to convey that the battle is taking place in a forest war-zone and so the words ‘guerrilla warfare,’ are quite apt to describe our intention for the mise-en-scene of the thriller.
I put the words “reality’s consequences” at the bottom of the mood board. I did this because the thriller puts an emphasis on the fact that although it may seem realistic, reality and virtual reality are two separate entities. Despite this however, something within reality has caused a malfunction within the virtual reality which in turn violently affected the real world reality of our main character: the video game killed him.
