Introducing My New A2 Blog
This year, we will be producing three major projects for a music campaign; a website, album cover and music video. To complete these projects, a large amount of pre-production work will be completed, likely more than in the A1 thrillers, and in half the time.
Despite the gargantuan size of this year’s coursework, I feel confident on performing well due to the experiences and training I had in my A1 year. From my previous year, I learnt that the main source of success for thrillers was due to the amount of pre-production work a group produced; those who did significantly less than those who planned every detailed, produced a less developed piece. Due to this, I can infer now that the main bulk of my focus should be on getting the pre-production work as accurate and detailed as possible. If I plan well, and use what I learnt from my mistakes and shortcomings of my first year, I am confident that I will produce better coursework this year.
Last year, I felt that my coursework’s main strength was the production work: the actual shooting and editing of the thriller. The main bulk of my time and effort spent went into these stages. In addition to this, I feel my blog was up to a good standard, and hopefully my coursework mark reflects the effort I put into my blog.
Despite all the effort I put into both my coursework and examination, I feel that I could’ve done more pre-production more. In hindsight, I can see now that good planning was imperative on the success of the thriller. Due to this, now that I am embarking on a new piece of coursework I can use my knowledge of my previous shortcomings as fuel for its success.
My overall goal for this year is to achieve a perfect coursework score. In order to achieve this, I believe I will need to produce more developed and illustrative blog posts, than my previous A1 posts. In addition to improving the quality of my posts, I will likely need to increase the quantity of posts by at least a factor of two. This will be a hard challenge, but I am ready to take it on.
